Hello Everyone! We have been extremely busy here at Pom Pom at Home,

flying around from show to show.

Here we are at the CMA Showroom in Atlanta.

This bed is filled with tons of new product and some of our favorites. You might recognize the Hampton Quilted Large Euros, Allegra Flax Bolster and our ever so popular Love & Peace shams.We are showcasing our new Knit Euro Shams in Oyster, Slate, Antique White and Pewter at the front of this bed with our new Slate colored Louwie Duvet and Shams!


Don't you just love this bed frame?! Very whimsical and romantic!

What's great about our Mathilde bedding is the simplicity in design, but it has some great frayed edge detail with just a touch of velvet. It looks gorgeous on this bed! We decided to combine the classic White linen with the new Slate for this look and were you able to spy the new Mathilde Bolster?!

Don't you just feel the romance in this bed!? We just love the Audrey bed skirt, which adds great texture. Even though the bedding is all white, the Sofia shams add a great touch of color. And the POM POM Throws... Well you know, they are unbelievably soft!

A great color we have added this season to our Charlie collection is the Ocean. It's a very soothing blue. We can see this bedding in any home, but can you imagine it in a country chic style home in Maine.. nice big windows, with views of the ocean. Sigh.

Next we traveled to the CODARUS showroom in

Dallas (where we won the ARTS Award for Home Textiles!)

Very popular during the shows, the Malibu Antique White Euro Shams and our Manhattan in Oyster.

This bed is a bit of a coastal inspiration with the Julien Sea and Organics mixed together.

Cozy Up with Fabulous Knit Throws this Season

The latest trend this season is wonderful knits, that will sure make you melt in your bed, especially these cozy neutrals that would look great in any room. Not only are knits trending in fashion, they are also being made to cast the knit motif on home decor products like bowls and vases. WE WON THE ARTS AWARD!!!

It’s been a whirlwind of a January for us at Pom Pom at Home. As soon as we put away our champagne glasses from ringing in 2012, we found ourselves back in the office getting ready for our Winter Show schedule of Atlanta, Dallas and New York.

One of the highlights of our winter show schedule was our nomination for the 23^rd Annual Arts Awards! When we first heard of our nomination, we were obviously flattered, but had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. After some hard work getting together a company binder and product samples for the judges to consider, we were ECSTATIC to hear our named called as the winner!

The ARTS Awards is the premiere awards program dedicated to the home decorative accessories industry. We were humbled to be recognized in the category of Home Textiles.

Pom Pom at Home was nominated for Best in Home Textiles. And guess what!?!?

WE WON!!! Our first nomination and first win!

Just received our award!

We had no expectations of winning, but were excited about celebrating the nomination and meeting other people in our industry over drinks, food and good conversations. People kept on joking about practicing our acceptance speech, but we were sure we would not win. When it was time for the winner of Home Textiles and they announced Pom Pom at Home, we were so SURPRISED and thrilled! Maybe, we should have had something prepared... We are truly humbled and grateful to everyone who has helped us get to where we are today, especially our great clients and representatives!

Pom Pom at ABC Home!

Hello Pom Pom at Home Followers! My name is Jaclyn. If you’re one of our lovely clients, then I’ve probably had the privilege of talking with you at some point over the past 2 ½ years J So, I decided to play hooky on Monday and enjoy a long weekend in New York. Well… not exactly the hooky part, but I did go to NY. I got to visit some good friends, eat amazing food, see some great sights and do a lot of walking. It was the perfect fall weekend in the big apple. One of my favorite treats was visiting ABC Home & Carpet!

As soon as I walked in I spotted some Pom Pom linens. The Charlie White Napkins and the Audrey White Napkins, both classy and fun picks!

I then made my way upstairs where they had their baby and crib section. They were kind enough to send us these pictures…

Pom Pom and the Iron Gate photos

Rozanne Jackson, owner of the Iron gate and Hilde Leiaghat, owner and designer of Pom Pom At Home.

The Iron Gate celebrated Pom Pom & Chandi Thursday, September 29. Guests were greeted with delicious cocktails and yummy fare that included mini beet burgers and salted caramel macaroons. Guests got to know designers on a personal level over the evening. Meridith Clark, owner and designer of Chandi, was present along with Hilde Leiaghat Pom Pom’s owner and designer.

Pom Pom’s products are known for evoking a sense of romantic glamour with the highest quality and attention to detail. Chandi has became a leader in the boutique lighting industry with one of a kind fixtures. Also, celebrated was the photography of Mandy Johnson who snapped shots around a photo booth complete with props from The Iron Gate. Flowers were by Cassie Nastri of Trellis Designs.

Line Drying Your Pom Pom Linens

Line drying linens is energy efficient, more gentle on linens and  good exercise.  It really isn’t all that much work and the benefits are pretty nice.   First, the smell of fresh air permeates and flows through your laundry. Second, you are  going to save money and love living green while extending the life of your linens!

To help you keep your linens looking and feeling great, here are some tips:

 If you dislike how stiff the linens are when line dried, dry them briefly (5 - 10 minutes) in the dryer on low or tumble, then line dry them the rest of the way. 

 For faster drying, hang linens separately with room between  them and fully stretched out, using as many pins as needed to prevent  sagging. If drying time isn’t an issue and line space is, you can pin  the outside corners of two pieces of linen together with one pin.

 To prevent fading from the sun, place your clothesline in a  breezy shaded area. Conversely, if you are hoping to sun bleach your  white laundry run your line north/south to get the best exposure to  sunlight. Hang the ones that need the most bleaching on the outside  lines if you have four or more lines. 

To lessen wrinkles, give each item a good shake and once it is  pinned to the line, give the bottom corners a good tug to pull out more  wrinkles.  Some of us enjoy the relaxed wrinkles though, so try it both ways and see how you prefer.

Lastly, though we at Pom Pom don't encourage it, some people love to iron their sheets and pillowcases after they've dried for a fresh pressed look and feel.  The best part about all of these tips?  It costs absolutely nothing but a little extra time.

The Pom Pom bags were purchased from The Dotted Line in Nashville, TN owned by one of Kelly’s great friends, Troy Solarek.

Pom Pom At Home in the Trend Bible!

We recently discovered a UK based company that creates what they call the "Trend Bible". TheTrend Bible forecast future trends and predict consumer behavior to help retailers and brands build commercially successful product ranges. Throughout the years and seasons, they release a new catalog for purchase, showcasing what they expect the next big trends to be. In the 2012/2013 Autumn/Winter catalog, Pom Pom At Home's very own Mathilde in grey was featured in the first chapter titled "Undone". This section focuses on materials that express a casual, comforting mood with a "natural, unselfconscious style". It's very fitting for Pom Pom to be included in such a collection, as we consistently strive to create exactly that feeling.

I've also gathered a few images of other portions of the Trend Bible that I found rather interesting. Playful illustrations on teacups, fabric samples within the book, rustic accessories, knitted coffee holders, and colorful collages of drawing and patterns were only a few of the images that caught my eye. It's amazing to me that these inspirations could turn into new product in many many retail stores and from designers and we at Pom Pom At Home are happy to be a part of the trend setting community. Spread the word that you saw those "frayed edges" from Pom Pom At Home first!

Enjoy the light feel of Linen on these hot summer days. Not only will you feel nice and cool, but linen is breathable and good for your health. Studies have shown linen to be good for people with skin problems and allergies. Stay cool and healthy at the same time this summer.

Bring out your whites. White linen creates a romantic and calm environment. Your white bedding offers a fresh, cool and comfortable feel that will help you escape from the sun.

Create textures in your home. You can do this by using whites and creams together. Add texture to your bed with ruffles, embroidery or even lace. Play with your decorative pillows and throws to make your bed as simple or elaborate as your heart desires.

Go Green! Even though you have the luxury of using a washer and dryer for our linen, try hang-drying your linens with the warm summer sun to save energy and to have an authentic fresh air scent.

Take the party outside. Don’t be afraid to bring your linen pillows outside to make a more inviting look to enjoy the summer sun on your porch or veranda. When that cool summer breeze starts to set in have some nice light throws available for your guests.
